We got a thank you letter from WCA for our February donation. I've attached a copy for all of CEED to see. Keep up the good work, great dancing and generous donations.

Submitted by ceed on Mon, 02/22/2010 - 01:00.It was the second week in our new space and we had a great turn out. The music provided by Rio was a wonderful mix to dance to and with sun light shining through the windows, "I can see clearly now" was a perfect fit. As we approach the end of February, don't forget to vote on the charity you would like to see receive the extra funds from our donations. See you again soon at TMP studio.

Submitted by ceed on Sun, 02/14/2010 - 04:38.Well after a year and a half, we've outgrown our current space and this was our last week at 3 Shapes Aikido. It's been a fun place to dance and will be missed. Starting next week, we will meet at the studio for Trey McIntyre Project on Fulton St. I hope to see you next week to help try the new space.
August 23
Submitted by ceed on Mon, 08/24/2009 - 19:25.So we've made it through our first year. Yay us! August 16 marked our first full year and was a fun dance session with music provided by Frank. This week, we were back in the park for an outdoor dance session that Matty provided a diverse selection of music for. Looking at the calendar, music is offered for next week but after that, the schedule is pretty empty so if you're interested in providing music, now would be a great time to sign up. See you at dance.

Submitted by ceed on Mon, 08/10/2009 - 17:19.First of all, last week was great. It was the first dance that Lisa provided music for and the mix was very well received. I think everyone enjoyed the balance she hit and the message the music provided. Thanks to her for doing a great job.
This week, Randy provided a "Cat mix." Unlike the banana and tropical fruit mix he provided before, these songs did not involve cats. Instead, this was a cat mix because when creating it, his cats started running around the house, chasing specs of dust and generally doing things that only cats can get away with. We were encouraged to let out our inner cat through out the dance (but try to keep our talons retracted). Several cat movements and one cat mask appeared during the dance. Fun times.
Next week is the one year anniversary of CEED. No plans to celebrate but it's fun to take note that we've gone a full year and are going stronger than ever. I hope to see you there.

Submitted by ceed on Mon, 07/13/2009 - 20:16.WOW!!! Over the past few months, our numbers have been good. We've had between 15 & 25 people at dance every week. Occasionally a few more, but the most at one dance was 33 I think. Well, this week we had 45... or so. (With that many, it becomes very difficult to count as people are coming, going, inside, outside and constantly moving, but I'm pretty sure we hit 45). Paul put together a great mix of music from bands that will be at the Beloved Festival next month on the Oregon Coast. There was a great selection of high and low energy music that kept us all dancing despite number of dancers and the heat of the room. Fun times.

Submitted by ceed on Mon, 07/06/2009 - 23:01.Ok, so it's been while since I've given an update but CEED is still going strong. I was out of town for the last couple but heard they went well. This week, Denis provided the music which was a wonderfully diverse selection with Latin, Middle Eastern, Reggae and a bit of "Classic Americana" for the 4th.

Submitted by ceed on Mon, 06/01/2009 - 19:05.Paul brought the music this week and described it as a mix of Hindi and Hippie. We had about 20 people dancing and enjoying the music. Several people did contact improv and there is now discussion about starting a group to do that once a week or so. If there's any interest, let me know.
We also welcomed Flora who was a first time dancer and is looking at doing more outdoor dance sessions with local drummers. Hopefully that will work out and we'll have musicians at one of our future dances in Camel's Back.
We also discussed what community groups we would like to donate our funds to. If you have thoughts, please add them to the Community Groups page. See you next week.

Submitted by ceed on Tue, 05/26/2009 - 20:59.I guess I forgot to write about last week but the dance went well. We had 27 people dancing for Matt's 28th birthday.
This week we were once again dancing outside in Camel's Back Park. Too many people coming and going to keep track of how many danced, but there were at least 30 of us. Many of whom didn't know about CEED and just happened to be in the park that day. Hopefully some of them will continue to dance with us. If you missed it, make sure to be there for our next outdoor dance on June 28. See you then, if not before.

Submitted by ceed on Wed, 05/13/2009 - 18:25.There were no fruit songs this time but Randy still put together a great mix of music for us. We had just over 20 people dancing on Sunday including some who hadn't been in months. More people are coming back after months away and it seems like they're staying now which explains why our numbers continue to grow. If you haven't stopped by recently, you should try it again. I hope to see you soon.
